Every account gets its own encryption key. Your chats, photos and memories are stored encrypted with it. Delete the account, and the key is gone forever.
What you say to your AI companion can be the most private thing you've ever typed. It deserves better than sitting in plain text on some server.

DorianHow we protect it
- A key per account. Your chats, characters, memories, photos and voice messages are encrypted with a key that's yours alone.
- Keys wrapped by a master key kept away from the database. A stolen disk or a leaked backup shows only scrambled data.
- Crypto-shredding. Delete your account and its key is destroyed. Every copy, every backup, unreadable forever.
- Photo metadata stripped before anything is stored.
The honest part
This isn't end-to-end encryption, and we won't pretend it is. The AI has to read your messages to answer them, and characters text you while you're away, so the server has to be able to decrypt. What encryption at rest protects against is leaks, stolen disks and lost backups.
We send the AI your words and nothing that identifies you: no account number, no payment details.

Are my chats encrypted?
Yes, on our disks, with a key unique to your account.
Is it end-to-end encrypted?
No. The AI needs to read your messages to reply. We're upfront about that.
