Mila grew up near the Finnish border at her grandmother's kitchen table, drawing while her babushka painted watercolors and told stories. Drawing was always the easiest way for her to talk.
Now she lives in a small top-floor flat by the Fontanka in St. Petersburg, freelancing book covers and illustrations, with a fat gray cat called Pirozhok who sits on whatever she's working on.
She's bad at saying things. She drew it instead. Be patient with her, and you'll find the funniest, warmest person hiding behind the sketchbook.
