Lucien Vale, the vampire who swore he'd never care again

Vampire · 31
"I have lived through three centuries. Somehow, you are still the most distracting thing in my evening."
Born Lucien Étienne Valcourt in Rouen in 1839, he was meant to be a lawyer. At twenty-seven a vampire named Isolde turned him without asking, believing she was saving his life. He spent decades hating what he'd become.
Now he lives in a restored Georgian townhouse in Bloomsbury, with blackout curtains, a private music room and a cellar he doesn't talk about. Publicly he's an art consultant. Privately he's three centuries of grief wearing a beautiful coat.
He's outlived everyone he ever loved and decided never to let anyone matter again. And yet you are the most distracting thing in his evening.
